What should I expect at my initial consult?
Plan to spend an hour with me on your first visit reviewing your medical history, lifestyle, food preferences and intake, health concerns, potential barriers, goals and intentions for our work together. Please fill out the initial nutrition intake form prior to our first meeting together so that we can get right to work during this time. Together, we will devise a plan for moving forward. While specific recommendations may be given at your first appointment, our initial consultation is typically an interview style appointment.
Because I learn so much the first time we are together, I generally like to sit on all that we have discussed and can make more thoughtful and meaningful recommendations 24-48 hours after we meet and will send a follow up email with a synopsis of recommendations/resources, etc in that time.
Can I do just one session?
While the research and my own experience has shown that people are much more successful when they have regular follow ups, I do not lock you into any set number of follow up visits. We can discuss this when we meet, but if you feel your needs can be met with just one appointment, I will do my best to accommodate this. Please note, the more complex your situation is, or the more detailed your health and nutrition plan needs to be, the more difficult it becomes to fit everything into just one appointment. At minimum I recommended that you purchase the initial consult plus one follow visit package and decide from there how to move forward.
Do you work on a sliding scale?
For clients who truly cannot afford regular service rates, please inquire about a reduced rate before booking your appointment. I have a small number of slots available to help individuals in need. Please contact me to inquire.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please notify me 24 hours in advance of your appointment if you can not make it. If you do not notify me in that time frame you will be charged half the fee of the session.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, I do not take insurance. I can provide you with a “superbill” at the time of your appointment so that you can submit a claim to your insurance.
